Reality:Dreams’, and the challenges of cross-cultural work

Australian theatre director and educator Colin Schumacher is currently in Bangkok directing 40 graduating students in a new physical theatre production. He tells us about writing and rehearsing ‘Reality:Dreams’, and the challenges of cross-cultural work.
The tours of the educational drama workshops also continued concurrently with Mom Dusdi interpreting his work, and incorporating Howard Gardner’s theories of multiple intelligences. I was able to find interesting connections, using my movement, mime, role-play, characterisation, games, simulation exercises, and voice work to what Gardner’s work is about.
