Interactive whiteboards have transformed teaching and learning in the Concord classrooms. During this earlybird workshop I will share how our middle school integrates Promethean’s ActivBoard software and hardware into all our curriculum areas by showing lesson examples from English, Social Studies, Math and Science. The technology of the interactive whiteboard has also broadened teachers use of teacher web pages and resulted in an increased ability to use Internet resources in the classroom. Our strategies for professional development and planning by department and grade level help ensure successful curriculum development around the new technology. Our students have been engaged and enthused throughout this process of transformation to activclassrooms and digital lessons. Participants of the earlybird workshop will have the opportunity to use Activotes and Activslates as part of the presentation and discussion.
