Australian Government Proposes Pacific Technical College. The Australian Government has proposed the establishment of an Australian Technical College in the Pacific region. The college would have a distributed network of campuses centred in one of the more prosperous Pacific islands, and deliver Australian-standard vocational education and training qualifications to the region. Australia will conduct a major study to take forward the proposal and guide the establishment of the college, including how to maximise the involvement of the Australian education sector and other relevant Australian business interests.
