This would be good, we just need it state and nation-wide and ALL government sectors…

Pilot projects have been commissioned to investigate the possibilities of e-learning across broadband and the development of a nationally linked vocational education and training (VET) system.

The Access to Bandwidth Project, an initiative of the 2005 Australian Flexible Learning Framework, is working towards a national high capacity telecommunications backbone which will allow the VET system to cost-effectively share information and resources online. To demonstrate how such a network could function, a pilot is being conducted by the Institute of TAFE Tasmania and New England Institute of TAFE New South Wales. The pilot will use a high capacity data link to allow collaborative development of multimedia resources, followed by shared teaching with staff from both Institutes using live video to teach at the other campus.
